This massive Imperial Stout presents a decadent sensory profile shaped by fifteen months of maturation in bourbon barrels. The extended aging infuses deep layers of charred oak, vanilla, and caramel that interlace with an assertive addition of maple syrup. The result is an intensely aromatic bouquet of espresso, dark chocolate, and wood spice. On the palate, the maple provides a rich sweetness that tempers the robust roasted malt bitterness and the significant heat of its 13% alcohol content. It is a viscous, dessert-leaning experience that showcases a seamless harmony between spirit-forward intensity and a velvety, pancake-like sweetness.

Appearance. Opaque, jet black with deep ruby highlights. Dense, creamy, dark tan head with moderate retention. Significant legs and high viscosity are visible on the glass walls.

Aroma. High intensity. A complex blend of dark chocolate, burnt coffee, and roasted grain. Pronounced notes of maple syrup, vanilla, and toasted oak from the bourbon barrels. Subtle dark fruit esters of prune and raisin, with a distinct but smooth alcohol presence.

Taste. Initial rich sweetness from maple syrup and caramel malt. Deep roast flavors of bittersweet chocolate and espresso follow. The mid-palate reveals bourbon-soaked oak, vanilla, and light coconut. Firm bitterness provides balance against the heavy residual sugars. The finish is long and warming, showing lingering notes of molasses, wood spice, and dark fruit.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and chewy with a luscious, velvety texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. Noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth provides a coating sensation without being harsh or solventy.
