Russian River Brewing Company California Common

California Common: Valley Malt is a small craft malt house in Massachusetts  and one of the pioneers in the U.S. for craft malt.  They are a husband and wife team like we are here at RRBC.  We used their Valley Pale Ale malt with a small amount of their Munich Malt for this California Common Beer which was bittered with 100% Brewers Gold.  There is no dry hop on this beer as we wanted the malt to shine through.  A California Common Beer is fermented with lager yeast but at ale temperatures, which really shines through on this beer as it has a nice fruity ester profile and rich malt notes in the aroma and flavor, with a firm bitterness on the finish. ABV: 5%
