Appearance. Pale straw (2–3 SRM). While the style is traditionally brilliant, this unfiltered version exhibits a slight, charming haze. Topped with a frothy white head that shows moderate retention.
Aroma. Low intensity malt with a very clean, grainy-sweet rice character. Highly aromatic for the style, featuring prominent notes of orange zest, lime, and subtle peach from the Motueka and Wai-iti hops. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.
Taste. Initial impression is very crisp and neutral with a light grainy rice sweetness. Flavors of fresh citrus peel and tropical fruit emerge mid-palate, supported by a low hop bitterness. The finish is exceptionally dry and clean, leaving a brief, refreshing citrus aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that provides a prickly carbonic bite. Very smooth and mellow on the tongue with no alcoholic warmth and zero astringency.
