Ronzani FACTA is a quintessential West Coast expression of the American IPA, showcasing brilliant clarity and an assertive hop profile. The sensory experience is dominated by an intense bouquet of resinous pine, zesty grapefruit, and subtle floral notes. A lean, grainy malt backbone provides just enough support for the high bitterness without adding significant sweetness, leading to a crisp and decisively dry finish. At 6.8% ABV, a smooth, well-integrated alcohol warmth emerges alongside a clean fermentation character. This beer exemplifies the style’s focus on hop-forward intensity, delivering a sharp, refreshing bitterness that lingers pleasantly on the palate.
Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (7-9 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a medium-sized, off-white head that shows excellent persistence and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with dominant notes of pine resin, citrus zest, and a touch of tropical fruit. Low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a neutral base. Fermentation profile is very clean with no detectable yeast esters.
Taste. High hop flavor echoing the aroma with grapefruit peel and resinous sap. Bitterness is firm and high but remains clean, supporting a very dry finish. Low grainy malt character is present but secondary. The aftertaste is hoppy and lingeringly bitter with no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated into the finish.
