This American IPA is a classic expression of the style, balancing a vibrant hop presence with a sturdy malt backbone. Appearance. Medium gold to light reddish-amber (10-14 SRM). Slight haze present due to its unfiltered nature. Large, off-white head with excellent persistence and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Prominent citrus notes of grapefruit and orange peel alongside light piney resin. Supported by a medium-low maltiness featuring toasted bread and subtle caramel notes. Clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial burst of citrus and resinous hop flavor. Strong bitterness that is vibrant and persistent but lacks harshness. Supportive, malt-forward backbone provides flavors of biscuit and light toast. Dry to medium-dry finish with a lingering hoppy and citrusy aftertaste. Clean fermentation with minimal esters.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Moderate to high carbonation provides a crisp bite. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth with no astringency.
