Rocky Ridge Brewing Co. Wind V2 is a vibrant Hazy IPA that exemplifies the modern hop profile through a meticulous blend of US and New Zealand hops. A pale golden haze supports a fluffy white head, releasing intense aromas of ripe melon, tropical fruit, and sweet coconut, underscored by a characteristic Kiwi dankness. The palate follows suit with a saturated hop experience that balances lush fruitiness against a silky, medium-full body. With its restrained bitterness and soft, off-dry finish, this beer showcases a sophisticated hop depth and a smooth, approachable character that allows the tropical and resinous notes to linger gracefully.
Appearance. Straw to pale gold (SRM 3-6). Hazy and opaque with a luminous shine. Persistent, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring distinct notes of ripe melon, tropical fruit, and sweet coconut. Unmistakable resinous and dank qualities from the New Zealand hop blend. Low neutral, grainy-bready malt in the background. Clean, fruity fermentation esters.
Taste. High to very high fruity hop flavors of melon, tropical fruit, and coconut. Low to medium-low bitterness that is well-masked by the malt and body. Low bready malt flavor. Finish is off-dry and soft, with a long-lasting fruit-forward aftertaste that lacks any hop harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a silky, smooth texture. Moderate carbonation. Subtle alcohol warmth. No astringency or raw starch character.
