Syncopation is a vibrant Session American IPA that harmonizes bright tropical fruit with a lean malt structure. Pale malt and Chit malt provide a soft, light-bodied foundation that allows the complex hop trio of Strata, Ekuanot, and Vic Secret to take center stage. Expect a lively sensory profile dominated by the addition of pureed pineapple, which merges seamlessly with hop-derived notes of passionfruit, papaya, and citrus. Despite its sessionable strength, it maintains the punchy character of a classic IPA, finishing with a crisp, prickly bitterness that invites another sip, embodying a balanced symphony of fruit and hop intensity.
Appearance. Medium gold (6 SRM) with a slight, persistent haze from the pineapple addition. Features a medium-sized white head with good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aroma dominated by fresh, zesty pineapple. Supporting hop characteristics include passionfruit and berry from Strata, lime and papaya from Ekuanot, and a hint of herbal pine. Low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a neutral background with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. High hop and fruit flavor featuring dominant pineapple, passionfruit, and citrus. The malt flavor is low and grainy-sweet, serving as a clean canvas.
