This Hazy IPA pours with a vibrant, juice-like opacity, showcasing a masterclass in hop layering. The heavy utilization of Citra (pellets, Cryo, and Lupomaxx) alongside Vic Secret creates an explosive sensory profile. High-intensity aromas of ripe mango, passionfruit, and bright tangerine lead into a palate saturated with citrus and a distinctive touch of dank, resinous grass. The malt base remains unobtrusive, providing a soft, pulpy texture that supports the hop oils without clashing. It concludes with a restrained, lingering bitterness and a clean finish, making the 6% ABV remarkably accessible while maintaining a lush, fruit-forward complexity.
Appearance. Straw to light gold (4 SRM) with a very hazy, opaque 'shine.' Supports a medium, white, meringue-like head with excellent retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity featuring a massive tropical fruit bouquet of pineapple, passionfruit, and mango. Significant citrus notes of tangerine and lime zest are present, complemented by a subtle, dank, herbal-grassy undertone. Malt is low and bready.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor follows the aroma with dominant layers of grapefruit, pineapple, and stone fruit. The malt provides a neutral, grainy backbone that balances the hop saturation. Bitterness is low-moderate and smooth, lacking any harsh edge. The finish is off-dry and fruit-forward with a clean fermentation profile.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, lush, and 'pulpy' texture. Carbonation is moderate. No astringency or harsh hop bite is present, providing a smooth and easy-drinking experience with very light alcohol warmth.
