Paranoid captures the quintessential spirit of a German Pils with a focus on harmony and exceptional drinkability. This straw-gold lager opens with an elegant bouquet of traditional German hops, offering refined floral and herbal notes over a foundation of grainy, cracker-like Pilsner malt. The experience is defined by a clean fermentation profile and a modern, crisp edge. A firm but approachable bitterness sweeps across the palate, balancing the subtle sweetness of the malt and leading to a bone-dry, refreshing finish. It is a harmonious, everyday lager that bridges traditional structure with a vibrant, thirst-quenching character.
Appearance. Straw to deep yellow (2–4 SRM). Brilliant clarity. Topped by a creamy, long-lasting, brilliant white head with excellent retention and fine lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to moderately high hop intensity featuring classic floral, spicy, and herbal notes. The malt backbone provides a low to medium presence of grainy-sweetness, reminiscent of freshly baked dough or toasted crackers. Exceptionally clean lager fermentation with no esters or diacetyl.
Taste. Crisp initial impression where grain-forward malt quickly yields to a prominent hop-forward profile. Flavors of herbal spice and floral blossoms dominate. Medium-high bitterness is decisive but smooth, never harsh, providing a clean balance. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering floral hop aftertaste and a touch of minerality.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a snappy, refreshing texture. Carbonation is medium-high, contributing to the crispness. No detectable alcohol warmth. Smooth, with a subtle flinty sharpness but no astringency.
