This Double IPA is a vibrant showcase of the Citra hop variety, delivering an intense sensory experience characterized by an explosion of fresh citrus and tropical fruit. It pours with a creamy, persistent white head, leading into a bouquet where notes of lemon zest, grapefruit, and ripe mango dominate. Despite its robust 8% ABV, the palate remains remarkably lean and dry, with a simple malt structure that allows the hop profile to shine without being overshadowed by residual sweetness. The result is a highly drinkable and refreshing ale with a moderate, clean bitterness and a crisp, lingering hop-forward finish.

Appearance. Gold to light orange-copper (6-10 SRM) with a white, creamy, and persistent foam head that leaves significant lacing. Clarity is generally good, though a slight hop haze is acceptable.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by Citra, featuring prominent lemon peel, grapefruit, and tropical mango notes. Malt character is low, clean, and neutral, providing a grainy background that allows the hops to lead. Fermentation is clean with minimal esters.

Taste. Initial hop-forward impression of citrus and tropical fruit, followed by a low, supportive, and unobtrusive cracker-like malt flavor. Bitterness is moderately high but smooth and well-integrated, lacking any harshness. The finish is dry to very dry, with a lingering, clean hop aftertaste and subtle resinous notes.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, creamy texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively feel. Alcohol warmth is present but very well-integrated and subtle, with no hop-derived astringency.
