Bona Nox is a monumental Imperial Porter that elevates the American Porter profile through fourteen months of Bourbon barrel maturation. The sensory profile is defined by an intense interplay of dark chocolate, espresso, and charred oak. The extended wood aging imparts deep layers of vanilla, toasted coconut, and a sophisticated bourbon spirit character that weaves through a dense malt backbone. Despite its massive scale, the beer maintains the style's characteristic resinous bitterness, which balances the rich caramel and dark fruit esters. This collaboration between Ritual Lab and Reservoir Dogs delivers a luxurious, warming experience with a lingering finish of cocoa and fine whiskey.

Appearance. Opaque, deep ebony with rich garnet highlights; pours with a thick, creamy, tan-colored head that displays moderate retention and leaves significant viscous lacing (SRM 40+).

Aroma. High intensity roast aroma featuring dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans, layered with prominent bourbon and spicy oak. Background notes of vanilla, burnt caramel, and moderate dark fruit esters like plum and black cherry are present.

Taste. Strong roasted flavor with bittersweet chocolate and espresso notes, supported by a sweet caramel malt richness. The 14-month barrel influence provides distinct bourbon, vanilla, and toasted oak flavors. Bitterness is firm and resinous, providing balance against the high gravity. The finish is long and warming with a medium-sweet malt and spirit aftertaste.
