This vibrant American IPA serves as a nostalgic tribute to classic hop profiles, prominently featuring Amarillo, Centennial, and Citra. The sensory experience is dominated by a high-intensity bouquet of grapefruit zest, floral blossoms, and resinous pine. Its appearance is a brilliant, deep gold with a persistent white head. On the palate, a clean, grainy malt foundation allows layers of citrus and subtle tropical stone fruit to shine. A firm, assertive bitterness is balanced by a crisp, dry finish, delivering the hallmark hop-forward purity expected of the style. The integration of these specific hops creates a balanced, refreshing, and aromatically complex ale.
Appearance. Color is deep gold (approx. 8 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a medium-sized, white head with excellent persistence and significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent grapefruit, lemon peel, and orange zest. Floral notes and a hint of apricot are present, supported by a low, clean, grainy-sweet malt character. Fermentation is very clean with no significant esters.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward with flavors of grapefruit, pine resin, and lemon. High bitterness is firm but clean, supported by a low, toasted grain malt backbone. Finishes dry to medium-dry with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. Fermentation character is neutral, allowing the hop complexity to remain the focal point.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily hop texture. Moderate-high carbonation provides a crisp bite. Features a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth without any harshness or astringency.
