Opal Sky is a vibrant Hazy IPA that exemplifies the juicy, modern profile of the style. The strategic selection of Lupomax Ekuanot, Vic Secret, and Mosaic hops creates a multi-layered sensory experience defined by bright citrus, pineapple, and tropical stone fruit notes. These intense hop aromas are anchored by a soft, bready malt backbone that provides structure without competing for attention. On the palate, the hop-forward character transitions into a silky, creamy mouthfeel typical of a New England IPA. The moderate bitterness remains restrained, allowing the lush, fruity nuances to linger through a smooth, accessible, and character-filled finish.

Appearance. Pours a deep straw to golden hue (4–6 SRM) with a characteristic opaque haze that provides a luminous shine. It is crowned by a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and persistent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma dominated by citrus peel, passion fruit, and crushed pineapple. The Lupomax Ekuanot provides a concentrated lime and pithy note, while Vic Secret and Mosaic contribute layers of tropical mango and subtle blueberry. Low bready malt and clean fermentation esters support the hops without any caramel or toast.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit juice. High hop flavors of mango, grapefruit, and papaya lead the profile. Perceived bitterness is low to medium-low, appearing very soft and well-integrated against the malt. The grain bill presents as light bread or flour, providing an off-dry balance. The finish is clean and intensely fruity, lacking any hop harshness or astringency.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable silkiness and creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate, enhancing the juicy sensation. There is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth, but the beer remains smooth with no harshness or raw starch texture.
