Río Azul Hazy Express delivers an intense tropical experience characteristic of a modern Hazy IPA. Massive additions of Azacca and Mosaic drive a sensory profile rich in mango, pineapple, and stone fruit, while Amarillo provides a distinct burst of zesty orange. A background of dank, resinous pine from CTZ adds complexity to the hop-forward bouquet. The pour is opaque and straw-gold with a rocky, persistent white head. On the palate, a soft, pillowy body balances low bitterness, allowing the juicy hop character to flourish alongside neutral, bready malts. It concludes with a smooth, fruit-filled finish and a subtle, well-integrated 7% warmth.

Appearance. Straw-gold to light amber color (SRM 4-6); opaque and hazy clarity with a characteristic sheen. Features a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and persistent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of tropical mango and papaya from Azacca and Mosaic, complemented by citrus orange and grapefruit from Amarillo. Subtle underlying dankness and pine resin from CTZ are present. Malt character is low, clean, and bready; fermentation is clean with supportive fruity esters.

Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with intense mango, stone fruit, and citrus orange. Malt flavor is low and grainy-sweet, providing a simple base for the hops. Perceived bitterness is low to moderate and well-restrained, leading to a soft, juicy finish. Fermentation character is neutral and supports the massive hop expression.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy, and smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present at 7% ABV, but the beer remains free of any harshness or astringency.
