This robust Porter presents an opulent profile defined by a year of maturation in whisky barrels. Rich aromas of Arabica coffee and roasted Coffee Malt harmonize with the deep vanilla and toasted oak tannins from the wood. The addition of rye provides a distinctively creamy, viscous texture that carries bold notes of dark chocolate, charred grain, and warming whisky spirits. Intensely complex, it balances the earthy bitterness of the coffee with the lingering sweetness of the base malt, finishing with a sophisticated alcohol warmth and a hint of wood-derived spice.

Appearance. Opaque, deep ebony to near-black in color (40+ SRM). It features a thick, mocha-colored head with moderate retention and fine-beaded lacing, though the high alcohol content and coffee oils cause the head to dissipate slowly.

Aroma. High intensity with a complex layering of fresh-ground Arabica coffee and dark roasted malts. Pronounced whisky notes provide aromas of vanilla, caramel, and charred oak. Subtle dark fruit esters like plum and raisin are present, underpinned by a faint spicy note from the rye.

Taste. The initial impression is a rich blend of bittersweet chocolate and espresso. Significant whisky flavor follows, contributing notes of toasted oak and vanilla. The Arabica coffee provides a clean, roasted bean flavor without harsh acidity.
