This Hazy IPA offers a luxurious, pillowy texture that carries a vibrant bouquet of Southern Hemisphere character. Utilizing a blend of Australian and New Zealand hops, the profile is defined by intense tropical notes of ripe pineapple and pungent passionfruit, complemented by the distinctive white wine and gooseberry snap typical of antipodean varieties. A subtle undercurrent of resinous pine provides a balanced counterpoint to the lush fruit. At 7% ABV, the beer maintains a smooth, approachable presence, delivering a saturated hop experience that highlights the unique terroir of its ingredients while remaining remarkably drinkable.
Appearance. Straw to light amber with a luminous hazy shine. Topped with a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head that shows excellent retention and leaves thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring tropical pineapple, passionfruit, and tart gooseberry. A light resinous pine note sits in the background alongside neutral, grainy, and slightly bready malt character. Clean fermentation with subtle fruity esters.
Taste. High fruity hop flavors of passionfruit and pineapple dominate the initial impression, followed by a light gooseberry tang. Low bready malt flavor provides a neutral base. Perceived bitterness is moderate but soft and well-restrained, leading to a smooth, off-dry finish with a lingering tropical and piney aftertaste.
