This Tennessee Bourbon barrel-aged version of Heretic Imperial Stout presents a decadent sensory experience, merging the raw power of the base beer with refined spirit character. The profile is dominated by a deep, roasted core of bittersweet chocolate and espresso, further enriched by several months of wood aging. The barrel influence introduces layers of smooth vanilla, toasted oak, and a hint of caramel toffee that softens the intense roasted grains. Subtle esters of dried plum and raisin weave through the mid-palate, while the 9% ABV provides a steady, integrated warmth. It is a harmonious, velvety Imperial Stout with a lingering, complex finish.
