Reptilian Hellocatil is a vibrantly aromatic American Pale Ale that showcases the intense fruit-forward impact of triple dry-hopping. This modern showcase layers the distinct berry and tropical stone fruit notes of Mosaic with the bright mango and pineapple characteristics of Azacca. Ekuanot adds complex layers of lime, herbal essence, and melon, creating a sophisticated hop profile. At 5% ABV, the beer remains exceptionally drinkable, supported by a lean, neutral malt base providing a subtle bready foundation. This pale ale strikes a refreshing balance, delivering high hop saturation and a clean, crisp finish that highlights artisanal hop selection.
Appearance. Pale golden to light amber (6-8 SRM). Topped by a moderately large, white, creamy head with excellent retention and significant lacing. Clarity is generally clear, though a very slight haze may be present due to the intensive triple dry-hopping.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by modern New World traits. Prominent notes of blueberry and tropical fruit from Mosaic are complemented by mango and citrus from Azacca, with an underlying layer of lime peel and green pepper from Ekuanot. Low grainy-sweet maltiness provides a neutral background. Clean fermentation profile with no significant esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of citrus and tropical fruit flavors. High hop bitterness is present but well-integrated, following the aroma with mango, pine, and berry notes. Low bready malt flavor supports the hop-forward balance without adding sweetness. Finish is medium-dry and clean, with a lingering but smooth hop bitterness in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate to high carbonation, creating a crisp and refreshing texture. Smooth finish with no alcohol warmth and a notable lack of hop-derived astringency despite the high hop load.
