Reptilian Apokalypse is a formidable Imperial Stout that commands attention with its pitch-black intensity and viscous pour. Low but present esters suggest dried plums or raisins. Hop aroma is very low, allowing the complex malt and moderate alcohol warmth to lead.

Taste. Initial impression is intensely malty and rich. Deep flavors of dark chocolate, espresso, and roasted cocoa beans dominate. Medium-high bitterness provides a necessary counterpoint to the heavy malt sugars. Mid-palate reveals subtle notes of caramel and dark fruit. The finish is long and bittersweet, lingering with roast and a smooth, sophisticated alcohol warmth.

Mouthfeel. Full to very full-bodied with a chewy, luscious, and velvety texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. A distinct, gentle warmth is felt in the throat, consistent with its 11% ABV, but it remains well-integrated without being harsh or solventy.
