RentOn Violet is a German Pils that belies its elegant name with a surprisingly assertive, carnivorous character. Pouring a brilliant, pale straw with a persistent white foam, it leads with an intense bouquet of spicy and herbal German hops. The foundation of grainy, cracker-like Pilsner malt provides a delicate backdrop for the primary hop-forward narrative. Despite its slightly elevated 6% ABV, the palate remains remarkably crisp and dry, delivering a firm bitterness that lingers long into the finish. It is a deceptively powerful lager where traditional elegance meets a sharp, modern edge, offering a clean and refreshing profile with a biting hop presence.
Appearance.Straw to deep yellow in color with brilliant clarity; features a creamy, long-lasting white head with excellent retention.
Aroma.Moderate to high intensity of spicy and herbal hop character; low grainy, doughy, or honey-like malt sweetness; clean fermentation profile with no esters or diacetyl.
Taste.Initial grainy malt flavors are quickly overtaken by a prominent herbal hop flavor and a medium-high bitterness; the finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering hop character and a clean, mineral aftertaste.
Mouthfeel.Medium-light body with high carbonation; crisp and refreshing with a slight flinty sharpness and a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
