Raw Dopamine is a sensory-forward collaboration between Reketye Brewing and HopTails, crafted as a Raw IPA that bypasses the traditional boil to preserve a lush, protein-rich foundation. This Hazy IPA presents an intense aromatic profile of tropical mango, guava, and bright citrus. The 6.5% ABV is masterfully integrated, supporting a pillowy, soft mouthfeel. Expect a 'juicy' character where the low bitterness allows the vibrant hop oils to shine against a backdrop of fresh, doughy malt. Appearance. SRM 4-6. Straw to golden-orange with a distinctive hazy, nearly opaque 'shine.' Features a dense, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring tropical fruit (pineapple, mango) and citrus (tangerine, lime). Subtle stone fruit notes like peach are present. Malt is low but detectable as fresh bread dough or raw grain. Clean fermentation profile with supportive fruity esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical juice, including guava and passion fruit. Hop flavors are high to very high. Malt flavor is medium-low, suggesting bready, doughy wheat. Bitterness is low to medium-low and smooth, never harsh. The finish is off-dry and fruity with a lingering, soft aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full, pillowy body with a smooth, almost creamy texture. Moderate carbonation provides a gentle lift. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present. Entirely free of astringency or hop burn.
