RedWillow’s Tayberry Berliner Weisse is a vibrant, modern take on the classic German wheat ale, pouring a striking ruby red from the addition of ripe tayberries. The sensory profile is defined by a sharp, clean lactic acidity that beautifully intertwines with the rich, brambly fruit character of the berries, reminiscent of a cross between wild raspberries and blackberries. A subtle backbone of raw bread dough and grainy wheat malt provides a soft foundation, while the high carbonation ensures a lively, effervescent lift. It finishes remarkably crisp and dry, leaving a lingering, tart berry essence that makes it exceptionally refreshing and bright.
Appearance. Vibrant ruby-red color; large, light-pink head with moderate to poor retention; slightly hazy appearance with high effervescence.
