This Rauchbier pays homage to tradition by utilizing premium malts from Bamberg to create a deeply evocative sensory experience. The profile is defined by an assertive yet refined beechwood smoke character, reminiscent of campfire-cured meats and toasted wood, which integrates seamlessly with a rich, bready malt backbone. Notes of toasted crust and subtle caramel provide a sturdy base for the pervasive smokiness. Despite its robust flavor profile, the beer remains remarkably drinkable, offering a clean lager fermentation and a rounded texture that finishes with a balanced, medium-dry crispness and a lingering smoky resonance.

Appearance. Deep amber to coppery-brown (12-22 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a large, creamy, long-lasting tan head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity of clean beechwood smoke with woody and savory, bacon-like qualities. Moderate toasty and bready malt richness supports the smoke. Clean lager character with no esters; hop aroma is absent to very low.

Taste. A harmonious blend of rich, toasty malt and prominent beechwood smoke. The smokiness is savory but never acrid or charred. Low to moderate hop bitterness provides balance against the malty sweetness. The finish is clean and medium-dry, leaving a pleasant aftertaste of smoke and toasted grain.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, rounded, and slightly creamy texture. Moderate carbonation with no astringency or noticeable alcohol warmth.
