This refined American Lager showcases the rustic elegance of Heritage Hana Pilsner Malt, elevated by a traditional double decoction mash. The result is an exceptionally clean profile featuring deep, wonderful bready flavours and a delicate cereal sweetness. Fresh Goldings hops from Hukins Hop farm impart a subtle, spicy, and floral counterpoint that perfectly balances the malt’s center stage. After twelve weeks of cold lagering, the beer presents a remarkably smooth, crisp finish. It strikes a beautiful balance between traditional craftsmanship and refreshing drinkability, embodying a beer of the land with its unpretentious yet sophisticated depth and crystalline fermentation profile.
Appearance. Brilliant clarity with a pale straw to light gold hue (2.5 SRM). Topped by a white, frothy head with moderate retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. Moderate-low intensity with a clean, grainy-sweet malt character featuring distinct bready and cracker-like notes from the Heritage Hana Pilsner Malt. Very low floral and herbal hop notes from the Goldings are present. Fermentation profile is exceptionally clean.
Taste. Initial impression is a soft, grainy sweetness that quickly develops into rich, bready malt flavors. Hop flavor is low, contributing a gentle floral and herbal spice. Bitterness is low but provides a clean balance to the malt. The finish is very dry and crisp with a short, clean aftertaste of fresh grain.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that offers a pleasant carbonic bite. Very smooth and refreshing on the palate with no astringency or alcohol warmth.
