This complex American Lager undergoes a transformative year-long maturation in cherry wood foeders, elevating a traditional base into a sophisticated sensory experience. Bright pineapple and crisp citrus notes emerge from the use of classic Czech hops, cutting through the delicate woody tannins imparted by the long aging process. A nuanced Brett character adds a rustic, earthy dimension that remains remarkably drinkable. Despite its extended rest, the beer maintains its approachable 4.8% ABV, offering a unique intersection of clean lager fermentation and wild, barrel-aged complexity that challenges the typical expectations of the style.

Appearance. SRM 3. Pale straw to medium yellow color. Pours with a white, frothy head that shows moderate persistence. Clarity is clear to slightly hazy, reflecting its long foeder maturation.

Aroma. Moderate intensity. Initial notes of pineapple and citrus from Czech hops are layered over a low, grainy-sweet malt base. A nuanced Brett character introduces light hay and earthy funk, while the cherry wood contributes a delicate, dry woodiness.

Taste. Initial impression is crisp and dry. Malt flavor is low and grainy, quickly overtaken by tropical pineapple and citrus hop flavors. Hop bitterness is low to medium-low. Fermentation character is exceptionally clean but punctuated by a rustic Brett edge. The finish is very dry and well-attenuated, with lingering notes of citrus and subtle woody tannins.
