RedWillow’s Cloudless is a lean, contemporary American IPA that utilizes a lager fermentation and rice adjuncts to create an ultra-clean canvas for its hop showcase. The aroma is dominated by the vibrant interplay of Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe, offering layers of grapefruit, passionfruit, and distinct pine resin. On the palate, the crisp Bohemian Pilsner Malt provides a delicate, grainy foundation that quickly gives way to a firm, clean bitterness. The finish is remarkably dry and snappy, stripped of heavy malt sweetness to allow the citrus and tropical notes to linger. It is a refreshing, high-clarity take on the style that emphasizes hop purity and drinkability.

Appearance. Color is a brilliant, pale medium-gold (approx 6-7 SRM). Features a tall, white, fine-textured head with excellent persistence and intricate lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit, blueberries, and passionfruit, backed by a distinct resinous pine. The malt character is very low, presenting as a clean, crackery, grainy sweetness from the Bohemian Pilsner Malt. Fermentation profile is exceptionally clean with no perceptible esters.

Taste. The palate is led by assertive hop flavors of citrus zest, tropical fruit, and pine needles. Bitterness is firm and clean (approx 55-65 IBU), providing a sharp counterpoint to the lean malt base. The addition of rice and Pilsner malt ensures a very low residual sweetness, resulting in a bone-dry, crisp finish that emphasizes the resinous aftertaste of Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, snappy texture. Carbonation is medium-high, enhancing the dry finish. No astringency is present, and there is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
