This delicate German Pils-inspired ale leverages a base of malted barley and oats for a subtle, rounded texture despite its sessionable ABV. The primary fermentation is transformed by a secondary inoculation of Brettanomyces, which introduces a sophisticated wild character defined by ripe cantaloupe melon and exotic lychee. Bright, floral Centennial hops interweave with the funk, offering citrus-tinged bitterness that complements the beer’s bone-dry finish. Effervescent and crisp, it maintains the refreshing snap of a classic lager while evolving into a complex tapestry of tropical fruit and rustic yeast notes, making for a uniquely nuanced and highly drinkable experience.

Appearance. Straw to pale yellow (3 SRM); slight haze from the use of oats and active Brettanomyces; tall, creamy white head with excellent retention and light lacing.

Aroma. High intensity featuring forward lychee and cantaloupe melon fruitiness from the yeast. Low grainy-sweet, doughy malt character with a hint of toasted cracker. Hop aroma is moderately-high, showcasing the floral and citrus character of Centennial hops alongside a very light, clean leather funk.

Taste. Initial grainy-sweet malt and cracker-like flavors are quickly overtaken by a firm hop bitterness. Significant tropical esters of melon and lychee dominate the mid-palate. The finish is extremely dry and crisp, with a lingering minerally sharpness and floral hop notes. Bitterness is moderate to high, well-balanced by the yeast-derived fruitiness.

Mouthfeel. Light body with a slight, smooth creaminess from the oats. High carbonation provides a lively, scrubbing effervescence. No alcohol warmth. Bone-dry finish with no astringency.
