Boo-Boo-Less is a vibrant American Brown Ale that leans into its identity as a Brown IPA. This collaboration with Sureshot presents a deep mahogany pour, releasing a complex sensory bouquet where rich chocolate and toasty caramel malts meet aggressive American hop character. The aroma is defined by layers of cocoa and nutty sweetness juxtaposed against bright citrus and resinous pine. On the palate, the malt-forward foundation provides a sturdy platform for a firm, hoppy bitterness to take center stage, balancing the sweetness with a crisp, lingering dryness. It is a modern, hop-forward interpretation that remains remarkably balanced and approachable at its moderate strength.
Appearance. Light to dark mahogany brown (22–28 SRM) with great clarity. It supports a persistent, creamy off-white to light tan head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. A rich malty-sweet base featuring prominent chocolate, caramel, and toasted nuts. This is complemented by a bold hop profile showing citrusy grapefruit, tropical fruit, and resinous notes. Fruity esters are very low.
Taste. Initial impressions of malty-rich chocolate and toasty caramel complexity. A medium-high bitterness quickly asserts itself, characteristic of the hoppy American interpretation. Hop flavors of citrus zest and pine resin are prominent but well-integrated with the nutty malt. The finish is medium-dry and clean, with an aftertaste of both roasted grain and hop resin.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with moderate to moderately-high carbonation. It possesses a smooth texture with a light resiny dryness and a subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
