Developed in collaboration with Browar Piwne Podziemie, this brew delivers an explosive aromatic profile dominated by lush tropical fruits and bright citrus, underscored by a persistent and dank resinous backbone. The significant alcohol content is masterfully integrated, providing a smooth warming sensation that complements the juicy character without veering into solvent territory. Despite its massive strength, it maintains a deceptive drinkability, balancing a clean, neutral malt base against an aggressive yet smooth bitterness, emphasizing modern hop complexity over malt richness.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper in color (SRM 8-12). It features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing. The clarity shows a slight, modern haze consistent with its juicy description.
Aroma. Intensity is very high, showcasing an array of tropical fruit, grapefruit, and tangerine citrus notes. A supportive, resinous pine character follows, layered over a clean, neutral to grainy malt background. A soft, clean alcohol presence is detectable but remains well-integrated.
Taste. The initial impression is an explosion of hop-derived flavors, specifically mango, passion fruit, and citrus zest. Bitterness is high and firm, yet lacks harshness or astringency. The malt character is low and unobtrusive, providing a soft bready foundation without significant caramel. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering, clean, resinous bitterness and a touch of fruitiness in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate to medium-high. A noticeable but restrained and smooth alcohol warmth is present, reflecting its high gravity without being hot.
