This American Stout is a masterclass in balance, delivering a robust sensory experience driven by a double dry-hopped infusion of Citra, Cascade, and Centennial hops. The Citra provides a sharp, citrusy hit of grapefruit and orange, while Cascade and Centennial contribute resinous pine and floral undertones. These vibrant hop characters are set against a smooth, dark-as-night malt backbone that offers deep notes of bittersweet chocolate and roasted coffee. The result is a modern, hop-forward dark ale that maintains the comforting, roasty essence of a traditional stout while offering the aromatic intensity of a West Coast ale.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40) with a large, persistent light tan head that exhibits excellent retention and thick lacing.

Aroma. High aromatic intensity featuring prominent citrus zest and resinous pine from the Citra, Cascade, and Centennial hops. This is supported by moderate to strong roasted malt scents of dark chocolate and espresso, with very low esters and no harsh acridity.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of citrusy and piney hop flavors, followed quickly by a moderate roasted malt profile of dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans. Bitterness is firm and assertive, balanced by a low caramel malt sweetness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering roasted character and a clean hop bite.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a crispness that balances the roasted grains. Very light, smooth alcohol warmth is present without being hot.
