Martyrdom is an American Amber Ale that masterfully balances a complex malt bill with a potent whirlpool addition of Challenger hops. Appearance. Deep amber to coppery-brown with excellent clarity. It supports a moderately large, persistent off-white head that leaves consistent lacing on the glass.

Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring a blend of earthy and spicy Challenger hops atop a rich, multi-layered malt backbone. Distinct notes of toasted biscuit, caramel, and a faint hint of dried plum are present, with a clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial malty sweetness led by bready Maris Otter and toasty Munich flavors, followed quickly by the caramel and dark fruit notes of Special B and Caraamber. The Challenger hops provide a moderate to moderately-high bitterness with an earthy, woody flavor profile.
