Rasta Trolls reimagines the classic Belgian Blond Ale through a tropical lens, infusing the traditional profile of Cuvée des Trolls with the aromatic depth of dark rum. This golden ale opens with a vibrant bouquet of yellow and white stone fruits, layered with bright citrus and a crisp, tart suggestion of green apple. The addition of dark rum introduces rich notes of molasses and spice that weave through the beer’s grainy-sweet malt backbone. Despite its strength, the palate remains ultra-refreshing, balancing a gentle sweetness against a subtle acidity and peppery yeast phenols, concluding in a clean, spirit-kissed finish.
Appearance. Deep yellow to bright gold (SRM 4–6); generally very clear; produces a large, dense, and creamy white head with excellent retention and characteristic Belgian lace.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity; prominent aromas of dark rum and molasses layered over a grainy-sweet, crackery malt base; expressive yeast esters of orange, lemon, and white peach are complemented by a hint of green apple and faint peppery phenols.
Taste. Initial impression of grainy-sweet malt and smooth dark rum; secondary notes of citrus zest and tart apple provide a refreshing counterpoint; very low hop flavor with a mild, spicy character; moderate bitterness that allows a light caramelized sugar sweetness to linger; finishes medium-dry and soft.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with high, effervescent carbonation that provides a mouth-filling, bubbly sensation; light to moderate alcohol warmth is present but remains smooth and well-integrated; subtle creaminess on the mid-palate.

La birra belga Rasta Trolls è la versione rivisitata della più classica cuvèe des Trolls del birrificio Dubuisson. La Rasta è stata arricchita con note di mela verde e aromi naturali tipici del Rum. Vi potrà sembrare un abbinamento davvero inusuale, ma vi assicuro che si sposa benissimo con i sentori agrumati e di miele d’acacia tipici della birra di base. Di colore giallo paglierino, i profumi che sprigiona sono proprio quelli del rum e della mela verde, al palato risulta, nonostante la sua particolarità e la sua gradazione abbastanza elevata, morbida ed equilibrata, con un sentore acidulo.
