This Micro IPA delivers a bright and refreshing sensory experience that belies its 2.8% ABV. It pours a clear medium gold with a persistent white head, immediately releasing high-intensity aromas of American hops characterized by citrus zest, tropical mango, and a light resinous pine. The palate is defined by vibrant hop flavors that mirror the aroma, supported by a low, clean, grainy malt character. Despite its light body, the beer maintains a smooth texture with a firm bitterness that transitions into a crisp, dry finish. It serves as a highly sessionable, hop-forward interpretation of the American IPA style, focused on pure hop expression.
Appearance. Medium gold in color with brilliant clarity. Features a medium-sized, white head with good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. High hop intensity featuring prominent citrus, tropical fruit, and a hint of pine. Low, clean, grainy maltiness supports the hop presentation. Fermentation profile is clean with no significant esters.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward with flavors of grapefruit and stone fruit. Low grainy and light toasty malt flavors provide a lean backbone. Bitterness is firm and clean, leading to a dry finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Light body with a smooth, non-astringent texture. Carbonation is medium-high. No alcohol warmth is perceived.

Our first super low ABV beer doesn’t hold back on flavour and body and we’ve used some of our favourite hops. Citra give a distinct fruity citrus character with suggestions of melon and passion fruit, with Amarillo hops delivering a hit of spicy grapefruit and orange. We’ve also gone for some Centennial for floral and pine aromas and a bright bitterness. Wheat and oats were included in the brew too, giving this beer a nice body and a smooth mouthfeel. The beer began life on our pilot brew kit late last year as a Table Beer and went down so well that we decided to bring it out as a special edition. This traditional style of beer has its origins in medieval France and Belgium. The name comes from the fact that it’s a low ABV, light-bodied beer which would have been placed on the table for everyone to share and enjoy. Nowadays it’s often called a ‘burger beverage’ because it’s a real backyard summer BBQ kind of beer. Grab a case of Low Rider and fire up the barbie this weekend!
