The sensory profile is led by the bright, citrusy lime notes of Motueka hops, which intertwine seamlessly with a unique cardamom infusion. This herbal, slightly mentholated spice complements the classic spicy-phenolic yeast character inherent to the style. Soft, grainy malt notes provide a lean foundation, while the finish is exceptionally dry and effervescent. It is a light-bodied, highly aromatic ale that balances zesty fruitiness with a sophisticated, botanical twist, delivering a sophisticated farmhouse experience despite its approachable strength.

Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (4 SRM). Topped with a dense, rocky white head that exhibits excellent persistence and leaves intricate Belgian lacing. Unfiltered and slightly hazy with visible high effervescence.

Aroma. Moderate intensity with a refreshing mix of lime zest and tropical fruit from Motueka hops. A distinct, cool herbal spiciness from cardamom blends with yeast-derived black pepper phenols. Low, grainy malt sweetness sits in the background, complemented by moderate fruity esters of green apple and lemon.

Taste. Initial impression is crisp and highly attenuated. Soft, grainy malt flavor is quickly overtaken by the zesty, citrus-forward Motueka hop character. The cardamom provides a lingering, herbal complexity that meshes with the spicy yeast phenols. Bitterness is moderate but assertive due to the bone-dry finish. Clean and refreshing with a short, spicy-bitter aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Light-bodied and lean. Carbonation is very high and effervescent, providing a prickly sensation on the tongue. No alcohol warmth is present. Smooth with no astringency.
