This vibrant Double IPA delivers a saturation of modern hop character led by Nectaron Cryo, Citra, Krush, Motueka, and the experimental CIP 076. It presents an intense aromatic profile of overripe peach and orange blossom, underscored by a characteristic New Zealand dankness. The experience is defined by a luxurious, creamy texture reminiscent of a tropical milkshake, bursting with citrus and stone fruit flavors. Hints of vanilla ice cream emerge mid-palate, transitioning into a bright grapefruit and lime finish. While maintaining its strength, the beer balances a soft bitterness with a lingering, sweet nectar stickiness.
Appearance. Pale, milky yellow color (3-4 SRM). Features a thick, whippy, white foam head with excellent persistence and dense lacing. Opaque, juicy clarity.
Aroma. High-intensity hop aroma featuring overripe peach, orange blossom, and resinous, dank New Zealand fruit notes. Malt character is low and neutral, providing a soft grainy background. Fermentation is clean with very low fruity esters.
Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of tropical stone fruit and citrus. Complex hop flavors of lime and grapefruit are supported by a soft, creamy malt backbone. Bitterness is moderate and smooth, lacking any harshness. The finish is characterized by a sweet nectar-like stickiness and a clean, lingering citrus aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notably creamy, smooth, and coating texture. Carbonation is moderate. Displays a gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth. No hop-derived astringency is present.
