This Red IPA radiates a striking crystal-clear deep amber hue topped by a resilient off-white foam. The aromatic profile is complex and vibrant, led by a potent dry-hop blend of Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, and Waimea. Expect high-intensity layers of stone fruit and burnt orange, underpinned by resinous pine, florals, and a delicate touch of vanilla. On the palate, the hop-forward character persists with bright citrus and more stone fruit, balanced against a structural malt backbone of toffee and burnt brown sugar. It finishes exceptionally dry and refreshing, with a firm, West Coast-style bitterness and moreish quality that invites the next sip.
Appearance. Deep amber to copper (SRM 14-18); brilliant clarity; large, fluffy off-white head with excellent retention and persistent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity; prominent stone fruit (peach, apricot) and citrus (orange peel); resinous pine and floral notes from Simcoe and Waimea; low to moderate malt sweetness suggesting toffee, light vanilla, and toasted bread; clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Immediate impression of stone fruit and citrus zest; mid-palate reveals toffee and burnt brown sugar malt complexity without cloying sweetness; firm hop bitterness provides a clean, West Coast-inspired structure; finish is dry, crisp, and refreshing with lingering resin and citrus aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body; moderate to high carbonation; smooth texture with a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth; no astringency; very high drinkability.

With a company motto of “Forever exploring. Forever evolving.”, Range’s modus operandi from the beginning has been to change up recipes with every brew. It’s not that they would never repeat a beer; but, they wanted to continuously produce fresh flavours. This has awarded them a cult following of beer lovers racing to get their hands on fresh, once of beers. On October 28, 2022, they graciously relented and introduced their first core range – or “Forever” beer – Disco. Which took five years and 600 variations. However they still pump out fresh single release beers every Friday.

Red Rising is a brand new Red IPA that we have dry-hopped with Citra, Mosaic Cryo, Waimea HopKief, and Simcoe. We have an internal joke here at Range about our annual Red IPA release, except it’s kind of not a joke because we actually only brew one a year… so here it is! Here for a good time, not a long time, this bad boy pours a beautiful deep amber colour with a super fluffy off-white foam. Crystal clear in appearance, it is a gorgeous sight. It’s the kind of beer that looks like it should be served in handles only. The aroma features stone fruit, burnt orange, light vanilla, with some pine and florals. On the palate we get more stone fruit, a hint of toffee and burnt brown sugar with some citrus to lighten things up. With a similar bitterness to our West Coast IPA’s, the finish is refreshing, moreish, and not sweet at all. A proper pub beer fit for the change in season.
