Patio Pale is a vibrant West Coast style American Pale Ale that highlights a contemporary hop profile of Kohia Nelson, Nectaron, and HBC 1019. Pouring a brilliant light straw, it offers an aromatic bouquet of ripe melon, zesty orange, and distinctive peach gummies. The lean, ultra-light malt bill provides a crisp foundation without distracting from the hop-forward character. On the palate, bright citrus zest leads into a remarkably clean, dry finish. It exemplifies a modern interpretation of the style, balancing moderate bitterness with high drinkability and a refreshing, sunny disposition perfect for long sessions.
Appearance. Light straw to pale gold (3-4 SRM). Brilliant, crystal-clear clarity. Moderately large, bright white head with excellent retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderately high intensity. Dominant hop character of stone fruit, specifically peach, alongside tropical melon and citrusy orange. Low, neutral grainy maltiness supports the hop presentation. Clean fermentation with very low fruity esters.
Taste. Initial hop-forward impression of peach gummies and honeydew melon. Malt flavor is restrained, presenting as a lean, cracker-like base. Medium-high hop flavor with a distinct citrus zest back palate. Moderate bitterness is well-integrated. Finishes dry and very clean with a crisp, non-harsh aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body. Moderate to high carbonation. Refreshingly crisp with a smooth finish and no perceptible alcohol warmth or astringency.
