This California-style American IPA radiates a modern West Coast character with its crystal-clear golden appearance. A sophisticated dry-hop blend featuring El Dorado, Citra, and Nectaron delivers a punchy aromatic profile of overripe tropical fruit and stone fruit, underscored by the dank, resinous notes characteristic of the style. The inclusion of Nelson Sauvin SubZero Hop Kief introduces a distinct white wine spritz and gooseberry edge. On the palate, a lean malt bill provides a clean, unobtrusive foundation for the hops to shine, leading to a satisfyingly firm bitterness and a crisp, dry finish that emphasizes refreshing fruit complexity.
Appearance. Brilliantly clear, medium gold (6-7 SRM). Moderate, persistent white head with fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent dankness, overripe mango, peach, and passionfruit. A subtle, bright white grape and citrus zest note is present. Low, clean, grainy maltiness supports the intense hop presentation. Clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Bold tropical fruit and juicy stone fruit flavors lead the palate. Medium-high bitterness is clean and assertive, integrated with a very low, bready malt presence. Mid-palate reveals nuances of white wine and citrus. Finishes very dry and crisp with a lingering hoppy bitterness and a refreshing fruit-tinged aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, lean texture. High carbonation contributes a lively, spritzy sensation. Very light alcohol warmth is well-integrated; no astringency.

We’ve dry-hopped this bad boy with a banging combo of El Dorado, Citra, Nelson Sauvin SubZero Hop Kief, and Nectaron. We’ve been tweaking our California IPA recipe for over a year now, and with the help of the Rocky Ridge crew, this is as close to perfect as we’ve found yet. So clear you could read a book through it, with hops leaping out of the can as soon as it’s cracked. We get notes of dank west coast hoppiness on the nose, leading into a palate full of overripe tropical and stonefruit, with a body that’s juicier and pops more than the lean malt bill would suggest. A nice hit of bitterness and some white wine spritz at the end thanks to the Sauvin deliver the closest thing you’ll get to Cali without jumping on a long haul flight.
