This Double IPA is an intensely tropical showcase of New Zealand hops, presenting a thick, hazy profile with a luminous light straw hue. The sensory experience is dominated by the specific use of Nelson Sauvin and Motueka HopKief, which drive explosive aromas of white peach, lychee, and fresh kiwi fruit. On the palate, the strategic layering of Motueka, Cashmere, Simcoe, and Citra provides a complex symphony of citrus and soft stone fruit. The mouthfeel is notably silky and ultra-soft, artfully masking the strength with a lush texture. It finishes with profound tropical depth, balancing a refined bitterness against a clean, doughy malt backbone.
Appearance. Light straw to pale gold (4-6 SRM). Opaque, thick haze. Large, persistent, creamy white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Explosive tropical fruit notes of crushed gooseberry and white grape from Nelson Sauvin, paired with bright lime zest and mojito character from Motueka. Secondary notes of lychee, peach, and a hint of pine. Malt is neutral and doughy, serving only as a supportive base.
Taste. Vibrant initial impression of kiwi fruit, white peach, and melon. The mid-palate is saturated with passionfruit and citrus oil from Citra and Simcoe. Bitterness is moderate and remarkably soft for the style, lacking any harshness. Finish is dry to off-dry, featuring a lingering tropical fruit aftertaste and a clean fermentation profile.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full, creamy body with a notably silky, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate. Smooth, well-integrated alcohol warmth without being solventy. No hop-derived astringency.

Hop Burrito is a brand new Double IPA brewed in collaboration with our buds from Bracket Brewing in Sydney. If there's one thing we have in common with Bracket, it's our love affair with Kiwi hops. So naturally we have bombarded this DIPA with a Kiwi heavy hop combo of Nelson Sauvin HopKief, Motueka Hopkief, Motueka T-90, Cashmere, Simcoe and Citra. We've used the liquid Nelson and Motueka during fermentation to amplify the aroma and mid palate flavours, with a silky addition of Motueka and Cashmere late in the game for ultra soft white peach, lychee and kiwi fruit vibes. The haze is thicc, the colour is light and the finish is insanely tropical.
