This double dry-hopped West Coast IPA radiates a vibrant gold hue, signaling its lean and bright intentions. The aromatic profile is intense and assertive, led by sharp pine resin, concentrated citrus oil, and a characteristic dank lift. On the palate, a structured bitterness commands the experience, delivering a snappy, drying finish. Complex layers of Centennial marmalade depth are punctuated by juicy Citra and Mosaic highlights, offering a full-stack blast of tropical fruit and bitter orange. True to the American IPA tradition, it balances high hop saturation with a clean, supportive malt backbone and a bracing, refreshing crispness.
Appearance. Glowing vibrant gold (approx. 7 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a tall, white, persistent head that leaves fine lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent sharp pine, resinous citrus oil, and a subtle dankness. Very low, clean, grainy malt provides a neutral base, while Citra and Mosaic contribute underlying notes of mango and grapefruit.
Taste. Initial punch of bitter-orange and resinous pine. The mid-palate reveals a more complex hop character with Centennial-driven orange marmalade and tropical fruit highlights. Firm bitterness dominates but remains clean and structured. Dry, snappy finish with a lingering citrus zest and resinous aftertaste; minimal malt sweetness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a lean, crisp texture. Moderate-high carbonation provides a refreshing bite. Smooth, very light alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated at 6.8% ABV. No astringency.
