This Double IPA celebrates the Citra hop through an intensive double dry-hopping process, resulting in a sensory explosion of tropical depth. The initial impression is dominated by vibrant aromas of candy melon, juicy mango, and sweet passionfruit. On the palate, the experience intensifies with pungent pineapple and sticky mango flavors that coat the mouth. Despite the high hop saturation, the beer remains refined with a clean, supportive malt backbone. The finish is punctuated by a spritz of pineapple and a smooth, well-integrated bitterness, delivering a powerful yet balanced expression of Citra's most sought-after tropical characteristics.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper with a moderate haze from the extensive dry-hopping. Features a creamy, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Intense, high-impact hop aroma showcasing Citra’s tropical profile: prominent notes of ripe mango, sweet passionfruit, and honeydew melon. A subtle, clean, grainy malt presence sits in the background, complemented by a soft, well-integrated alcohol note.
Taste. Dominant hop flavors of syrupy passionfruit, sticky mango, and fresh pineapple lead the palate. Bitterness is firm and assertive but lacks harshness, balanced by a light, neutral malt sweetness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering, tropical hop aftertaste and a clean fermentation profile.
