Range Brewing

Cliff Update presents a vibrant, modern interpretation of an English IPA, characterized by its translucent pale yellow appearance and a crown of fluffy foam. The sensory experience is lead by a heavy dose of Nelson hops, which release bellowing aromas of kiwi, white grape, and a refined dankness. The palate is a complex hop bomb, where intense stone fruit flavors of peach, mango, and nectarine collide with tropical notes of pineapple lollies and orange candy. Despite this fruit intensity, the beer remains true to its roots with a bready malt backbone, finishing remarkably clean and dry with a seductive, lingering bitterness.

Appearance. Pale yellow (4 SRM). Fluffy, persistent white head. Translucent clarity, resting in the middle ground between brilliant and hazy.

Aroma. High intensity. Nelson hops provide a striking profile of crushed white grapes, kiwi, and a dank, resinous edge. Low bready malt and subtle fruity esters provide a traditional base.

Taste. Initial rush of tropical and stone fruits including peach, mango, nectarine, and pineapple lollies. Firm hop bitterness is balanced by a medium-low bready malt character and hints of orange candy. The finish is clean and very dry.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly resinous texture. Moderate-high carbonation contributes to a crisp mouthfeel. Minimal, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
