This California-style American IPA is a vibrant showcase of modern hopping, utilizing Simcoe Cryo, Rakau, Citra, and Superdelic to create a punchy, tropical profile. The sensory experience is led by an intense aromatic display of stone fruit, specifically apricot, and a resinous mango dankness. A lean, pale malt base provides a clean canvas, allowing waves of sticky citrus and forest-like resin to dominate the palate. The finish is remarkably crisp, evolving into notes of sweet berry and bright orange crush. It balances a firm bitterness with a refreshing, dry character, epitomizing the highly drinkable 'crusher' intent of the brewery.
Appearance. Pale gold (approx. 6 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a medium-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by apricot, stone fruit, and tropical mango with a distinct dank, resinous undertone. Very low, clean, grainy-sweet malt aroma supports the hops without competing. Fermentation is clean with negligible esters.
Taste. High hop flavor featuring sticky citrus, apricot, and mango, transitioning into berry and orange zest. Malt flavor is low and neutral, providing a lean, crackery foundation. Bitterness is firm and assertive (approx. 55 IBU) but remains clean. The finish is dry and refreshing with a lingering citrus and resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, lean texture. Carbonation is medium-high, enhancing the refreshing quality. Very light, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. No astringency.
