Ramses Bier Wooly Bully
Wooly Bully is an immense, boundary-pushing Double IPA that merges the weight of a Quadrupel with an aggressive Hop Hash profile. The aromatic intensity is driven by a massive blend including Mandarina Bavaria, Cascade, Saphir, Columbus, Amarillo, Hallertau Blanc, and Herkules, delivering a layered collage of tangerine, resinous pine, and herbal spice. Despite its 13% ABV stature, it maintains the spirit of a strong ale with a robust malt backbone. Expect a palate-coating experience where deep stone fruit esters meet a firm, lingering bitterness, finishing with a profound, smooth warmth that demands slow sipping and a temperature that allows its complexity to unfold.
Appearance. Deep gold to light copper (10–14 SRM) with a slight haze from the concentrated hop hash. Features a moderate, cream-colored, persistent head with significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with layers of tangerine, pine, and floral spice. Supportive grainy maltiness provides a background for complex esters of melon and stone fruit. Alcohol is noticeable but clean.
Taste. Initial impression is a massive wave of citrus and resinous hop flavor. High bitterness is present but remains smooth, balanced by a light toasty malt character. Features complex notes of tropical fruit and pepper. The finish is medium-dry and lingering with a significant alcohol presence.
Mouthfeel. Full body with a smooth, viscous texture. Moderate carbonation. Pronounced and smooth alcohol warmth is evident without being harsh or solventy. Low astringency.
