Radical Way Brewing
Restless is a focused and bright German Pils that elevates the classic style through a modern hop lens. Traditional Saaz hops provide a spicy and earthy floral foundation, while the addition of Mandarina Bavaria and Ariana introduces vibrant sensory cues of citrus and tangerine. The beer features a delicately malty base of Pilsner malt, contributing notes of toasted cracker and light honey. This lager is defined by its exhilarating hop freshness and a clean fermentation profile, leading into a crisp, dry finish. A medium-high bitterness lingers pleasantly on the palate, making it a sharp and refreshing choice for warm weather.
Appearance. Straw to deep yellow (2–4 SRM), brilliant clarity, with a creamy, long-lasting white head that leaves excellent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate-high hop intensity featuring tangerine, citrus, and spicy-floral notes. Low grainy-sweet malt character with hints of dough and toasted cracker. Clean fermentation profile with no esters or diacetyl.
Taste. Initial light malt sweetness is rapidly overtaken by firm hop bitterness and flavors of citrus zest and earthy herbs. High attenuation leads to a very dry, crisp finish. Medium-high bitterness lingers into the aftertaste alongside a clean, minerally snap.
