Quer Circus presents a bold take on the Double IPA, showcasing the resinous and piney depth of Simcoe hops. At 8% ABV, it pours a distinctive dark caramel color with a resilient white head. The sensory experience is dominated by high-intensity hop layers of grapefruit and earthy resin, balanced against a clean, supportive malt profile that leans toward toasted bread and light caramel. While the initial palate offers a firm bitterness, it evolves into a lingering, slightly sweet malt finish that provides a unique counterpoint to the aggressive hopping, maintaining the classic strength and drinkability of the style.

Appearance. Dark amber to copper-caramel (12–14 SRM). Clear to slightly hazy with a moderate-sized, persistent white head and significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of pine needles, resin, and passion fruit from the Simcoe hops, backed by a supportive, clean, and light caramel malt sweetness. Neutral fermentation profile with no significant esters.

Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of grapefruit zest and resinous pine. Bitterness is firm and high but lacks harshness, balanced by a medium-dry malt character with toasted and light caramel notes. The finish is clean with a lingering hoppy bitterness and a touch of residual sweetness.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture. Moderate carbonation. Features a restrained, smooth alcohol warmth that is well-integrated and never solventy.
