Butch is a bold Hazy IPA that celebrates a punchy, hop-forward profile with vibrant intensity. The aroma is dominated by a lush tropical medley of mango and pineapple, accented by the sharp zest of juicy lemon and lime. This aromatic complexity is driven by a heavy-hitting combination of Mosaic, Centennial, and Ekuanot hops, layered over a clean house malt base. On the palate, the experience deepens with guava and mixed berry notes, finishing with a touch of fragrant pine. It delivers a substantial, fruit-forward presence that balances the style’s signature softness with an assertive, masc-leaning energy.
Appearance. Color is light amber (approximately 6 SRM) with a deep, opaque haze that provides a characteristic shine. It features a rocky, meringue-like white head with very high retention and substantial lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent mango and pineapple tropical notes, alongside sharp lemon and lime citrus. Subtle stone fruit esters are present. The malt character is low, presenting as clean and lightly bready, while the fermentation profile remains neutral to fruit-supportive.
Taste. Initial impression is intensely fruity, led by pineapple and guava flavors. The mid-palate offers juicy citrus and a distinct berry character. Low to medium malt flavor provides a grainy, neutral backbone. Perceived bitterness is moderate and smooth, balancing the fruit without harshness. The finish is off-dry with a lingering aftertaste of fragrant pine.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notably soft and smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate. There is a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth consistent with its strength. Free of any astringency or harsh hop burn.
