Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). Produces a thick, creamy, deep tan to dark brown head with moderate retention. High viscosity is evident through visible legs upon swirling.

Aroma. High intensity and complex. A prominent bouquet of dark chocolate and unmistakable maple syrup dominates, supported by a subtle floral sweetness from the honey. Undertones of roasted coffee, black licorice, and dark dried fruits like raisins and prunes are present, with a smooth, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
