Pyrene Progression, a collaboration with Twins Craft Beer, presents a vibrant take on the Berliner Weisse style. This refreshing ale leads with an intense, sharp lactic acidity that perfectly complements the addition of fresh raspberries. The fruit character provides a bright, tart berry profile that weaves through a delicate foundation of doughy wheat malt. Highly effervescent and exceptionally crisp, the beer finishes bone-dry. While the alcohol content is slightly elevated for the tradition, the focus remains on the clean, fruit-forward zing and the interplay between the sharp acidity and the floral, jammy notes of the raspberry infusion.

Appearance. SRM 3–5; pale pinkish-red hue with a light haze. Pours with a moderate, frothy pinkish-white head that dissipates quickly, leaving minimal lacing, accompanied by very high effervescence.

Aroma. High intensity aromatic profile dominated by sharp lactic sourness and fresh, jammy raspberries. A subtle background of raw bread dough and grainy wheat malt provides support. No hop aroma; clean fermentation profile with a light floral raspberry lift.

Taste. Initial impression is a refreshing, clean lactic tartness immediately followed by a burst of tart raspberry fruit. Malt flavor is low, suggesting bready wheat. Hop bitterness is undetectable, with the acidity providing the primary balance. Finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering raspberry skin tartness and no hop flavor.

Mouthfeel. Light body but not thin, enhanced by very high carbonation that creates a prickly, effervescent sensation on the tongue. No alcohol warmth is perceived. High, crisp acidity with no astringency.
