This Hazy IPA offers a lush, tropical escape reminiscent of a cloud forest. A vibrant bouquet of passion fruit and zesty orange emerges from the glass, driven by the expressive Nectaron and Citra hops. As it settles, Mosaic adds a layer of dried mango and a whisper of resinous dankness. The palate is a soft, juicy exploration of succulent peach and delicate pear, supported by a gentle, bready malt backbone. With its opaque, pale glow and pillowy texture, Monteverde balances intense fruit saturation with a restrained bitterness, finishing with a clean, fruit-forward elegance that remains remarkably approachable and highly drinkable.
Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (4 SRM); opaque clarity with a persistent, creamy, white meringue-like head that provides high retention and dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring dominant passion fruit, orange, and stone fruit. Nectaron and Citra provide bright citrus and tropical notes, while Mosaic contributes dried mango and a subtle dank undertone. Low, neutral, bready malt character in the background.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor of juicy peach, passion fruit, and pear. Very low to medium-low perceived bitterness that is soft and well-integrated. Low grainy-sweet malt flavor supports the hop profile. The finish is off-dry and smooth, featuring a lingering tropical fruit aftertaste without harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy, and smooth texture. Moderate carbonation. No astringency or hop bite; light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but subtle.
